Honestly, take a step back, maybe transplant these situations to different RPGs, and you don't even really need Discording to get these kinds of arguments to happen...
Time for some dramatic music.

Eh, good enough.
Honestly, I'm loving this back and forth, and I can't help but wonder if the outcome is that everyone except Twilight is actually having fun with the over the top chaos.
I think it's a mix of enjoying and not enjoying. AJ's player seemed frustrated at her curse during the break, while Pinkie's player seemed fine. Shy's player seems down, Dash didn't seem cursed and is just out of the loop. Rarity is concerned, but seems to be just working with the curse she's got. Mixed bag I think.
I think the biggest problem is that Applejack's curse took away her agency. The other 3 curses are hamming it up, but her curse obligates her to doublethink herself into uselessness.
AJ is indeed overthinking this. She believes Discord might punish her for revealing info OOC. Fluttershy got cursed for seeing through Discord's game and Discord took offense to that ooc. I imagine she didn't like that, but is apologizing anyway despite not being at fault.
She didn't see though Discords game OOC, she was triggered OOC by how Discords character was acting, and so blew up at Discord, which caused Discord to get mad and curse her, without a chance of getting out of it, Discord gave everyone a fair chance to get out their curses, Rainbow Dash actually succeeded, Fluttershy had a chance to get out of her curse too, but she wasted that chance by deciding to insult Discord both in and out of Character, and refuse to play, and if you refuse to play, it's only natural that you auto lose.
I would say yes. As that’s what I imagined it as...though now I’m imagining Pinkie dressed as Luke in that scene...against Darth Maud...yeah, gonna stop before that gets way too far.
My last party were roleplay heavy, but sometimes, they took things too far. They bickered a lot in-charachter, leading to one of the to actually SULK.
And not an irelevant time, but they had to go save a guy that disapeared, and the paladin went on a walk to next town to calm herself because she was tired of the gnome bard keeping informations (as you can guess, just out of chaos and to mess with them)
So yeah, even good friend can tire each other pretty quickly
Rarity is hamming it up with obvious glee, being the consummate roleplayer that she is.
Applejack is also getting into it - the "chisel" suggestion is pure gold.
Fluttershy is enjoying her "curse" forcing her to speak her mind... and letting everyone see that she is indeed quite brilliant, she just wasn't showing it that much due to her shyness.
Pinky Pie is going full on melodrama to the point of quoting Star Wars. Next she'll probably scream, "NOOOOOO!" Either like Luke, or Anakin... or possibly like Calculon.
And Twilight... is not quite realizing that the point of this is to have FUN. Which is a common failing of minmaxers like Twilight's player.
(Personally I'm VERY eager to continue with a campaign that's been waiting on the GM's schedule to clear, where at one point we saw the heroes and a bunch of goblinoids trying - and failing - to intimidate each other, each making threats in languages the other side couldn't understand, waving our weapons... ultimately we literally blew smoke at them, finally came a combat that was mostly slapstick before the barbarian got involved... then bandaged their wounds, and when we resume the interrogation is likely to be even more hilarious)
Aaaaah, now I see where this is going thanks to your comment.
How much you want to bet the next story beats follow thusly:
1. Dash asks for (or intentionally gets) a curse so she can get in on all the fun the others seem to be having.
2. Twilight('s player) gets despondent and walks away from the table.
3. The main DM assures her the goal was to have fun not to drive her specifically crazy and reminds Twilight she's overcome all kinds of other challenges so she's sure to find a way to beat this one too.
4. Twilight, re-emboldened, goes forth and de-curses all her friends then leads the charge to beat Discord.
No bets. Teaching not one, but two players about the fun to be had in the roleplaying aspects of the game? And doing so in a way that's genuinely fun and enjoyable? Yeah, that sounds about right.
Yeah I think Twi's player has gotten too wrapped up in her earlier successes at circumventing the GM's plots and is now feeling stressed and pressured if she DOESN'T come up with some way to resolve things right away. Hopefully this arc will teach her to relax and enjoy the journey as well as the victory.
I don't see it as "insulting." It's a figure of speech meaning "the good and the bad." Sometimes the DM has to be a bit extra to provoke the correct response from the PCs but that doesn't always translate well to the Players. It looks like everybody's having fun except Twilight who I bet is going to get upset and leave before the DM sends her a million texts encouraging her to come back and kick DiscorDMs ass
Er, he just complimented them all by calling them "consummate professionals" in regards to their role-playing. Coming from a more experienced gamer/GM, that's not an insignificant compliment.
Besides, "warts and all" is a figure of speech, like if he'd said "these are your friends, the good, the bad, and the ugly." It wouldn't mean he was saying one of them was really ugly, it would mean they're a mixed bag of good and bad parts - like all gamers (and people) really are.
I think Frontstab means you get your sneak attack dice for some reason other than flanking the target from behind. Like if the target is flat-footed, blind, stunned, some other effect that grants combat advantage.

That's plenty dramatic, at least in the first strain.

That's... one interesting family tree.

Nope, he's a total douchebag.
