GG: Hi! Hold still and let me tape you up if you want to live.
DW: And if I don't?
GG: We're half a mile up and you're standing on the only solid platform in this room. Your choice. The tape is a simple cloudwalking enhancement.
DW: Okay then.
GG: Great!
GG: Don't damage the tape, and don't break that disc on your back. That's what binds it all together.
DW: Now that we've got that out of the way, where am I?
GG: Oh, right! Welcome to the Cloud! Everything a pony could want! Food, fun, friends, you name it! And we go all over the place, though there's never much to see, so most of us don't bother.
DW: Friends, you say? Those ponies over there don't look friendly.
GG: Oh. Heh, wellll, this place being what it is, pegasi are in charge. I wish the others would stop throwing their wings around, every since they…
DW: Every since they what?
GG: Nothing, nothing! Forget I said that! C'mon, let's cycle up so I can give you the tour.
DW: Woah!
DW: You know I don't have any vehicle skills.
GM: He's tutoring you. By the end of his tutelage, you have a level in it.
DW: That's awfully generous. Are we about to face a boss?
GM: Worse. You're about to face exposition.
GG: HEY!!

Some of the ideas from mainframe-and-terminal computing that the original Tron movie touched on, were (much) later reinvented as 'cloud computing'. (If you've never seen the original Tron movie but have seen the sequel, the cartoon series, or the games, the original - for all its simpler graphics - is arguably better.)"

The franchise unfortunately seems to have a case of mixed rights and mixed release authorities, where the parties involved are just turtling instead of negotiating. Too bad: it's iconic enough that it's even made it into Kingdom Hearts.
Originals are almost always better than their sequels. The only exception I can think of is the original Stargate movie versus Startgate SG1. The spin-off series follow the rule, though.
Let's add another to this pile: Street Fighter 2 vs 1. There are reasons people might as well assume the series started on game 2 and there wasn't a 1.
I really liked the video game Tron 2.0. A worthy addition to the franchise, and a fun shooter to boot.
One nifty aspect is that your skills and abilites take up processing power, of which you only have so much. Varies by level, but sometimes you have to decide if you need to bring the sniper rifle along. One level in particular is set inside a cramped PDA. You're the only program running. It's a SMALL level.. but surprisingly complex.
