Applejack: Well, that's a problem for our future characters, not us.
Rainbow Dash: Agreed.
Rarity: Unfortunately, that leaves us back where we began at the start of tonight's session. That is, what to do about the "Discord arc."
(beat)
Pinkie Pie: I've been wracking my brain during the downtime, and I'm still not sure what I would do in this situation! Adventuring in Discord's reality is super demoralizing, but… after everything we've been through, we'd want defeating him to be satisfying, you know? Which means having at least SOME kind of buildup.
DM: Hmm… It's Discord's "automatic win" that needs correcting, then… I might have an idea.
I considered a guest comic, but I been down with the flu this week. :(
Dealing with super powerful characters is tough. Ive had a couple of these circle chats with my groups in the past on working out a way to deal with it.
I think they're falling into the falls y of trying to solve an out-of-game problem in-game.
Dealing with a World in Chaos isn't the issue(if anything the players wanted more things to do, kinda),, the issue is the breach of trust from targeting the players rather than the characters. Something the DM nearly repeated for this one-shot.
