Guest Author's Note: "This is not a dig at Etsy, by the by. I'm actually a big fan of Etsy stores. There's a lot of good ones! I have purchased a few RPG items from Etsy stores in the past, and they've yet to disappoint me. Plus...well, this is still an MLP based comic, and I think I'd be remiss to not recall the sheer absolute swath of Etsy stores that sell or sold extremely well crafted My Little Pony Plushies.

I like when players manage to work in callbacks to earlier sessions, whether for mechanical reasons, or plot reasons. It's one of those little things that helps the world feel just that bit more realized. And it shows your players are paying attention (even if it's just because there's that little bit of extra help they can squeeze out of you.) Any stories about a player, not the DM, bringing something back into the game?"

Periodically someone will bring up that it's been a while since I set our surroundings on fire.

But I only did that twice, and the second time was a deliberate tactical decision.

Kinda reminds me of a campaign where i somehow managed to demolish every single building i encountered. Usually by accident, digging for treasure. Apparently high Dungeoneering only lets you identify supporting structures after you dig through them.

"All right, guys, let's head to the party. Remember, gamefaces on, act natural, watch your six, and do NOT eat the target!"

"Motherf-- that was ONE TIME!"

"Look, if you're going to make the target the cake..."

Went to grab a goblin and use it as a weapon. Rolled for it. Grabbed the goblin, just not where I expected. Other players never stopped talking about it. Long story short, the goblin became my wife.

I watched a player grab a kobold by the tail and clobber another kobold with him for some significant damage. It was like a kobold Morningstar!

No marriage came of it tho. XD

Was in a superheroes game. We were up against Ronan the Accuser. I was playing a Brick (technically asphalt) type character.

"What do we know about this guy?"
"He's really tough, functionally immortal..."
"Sweet. Rolling for a grab."

And that was how I used Ronan as a club to bash his minions. He was VERY indignant about the whole thing.

YES! The phone is gone, at last! I can start paying attention again. Also, I have now developed a head canon that human!Rarity and human!Shy live in the same house, since we were told during the break that they play at Shy's place; there's no way Rarity just lugs all this stuff around with her to every game, given how uninvested the group was beforehand. I suppose it's also possible they just leave all their props and such at her house, if it's the only place they gather up to play…hmm, food for thought…

If this Rarity is anything like her canon counterpart I can totally believe she lugs props around. Gotta be prepared when inspiration strikes.

So a powerful necromancer is trying to gather the magic MacGuffins for god-like power. I get the bright idea to metaphysically eat the magic rock we got a hold of, taking a minor skill penalty and getting a new stoney look for one of my arms.

Cut to a few months later and it turns out pulling out your cursed appendage makes a great finale to a speech about determination and self-sacrifice.
