That fact that he has whiskers bothers me a lot more than the chip. Why does he have whiskers?? Is he some evil mangy cat-pony???

Also, is this the rare moment where Rainbow is the only one who's caught on to a plot point? The fact that he's smiling *is* kind of suspicious...

To be fair, real horses do have a few short whiskers around their mouth and nose. Not as obvious as a cat's, say, and it's easy to understand why they get dropped in a stylized representation. But not completely unrealistic.
