And so ends the Feeling Pinkie Keen arc. What a wild, ambitious, challenging, and overall fun ride it's been.
From here on until May 1st, there'll be guest comics. And none too soon, what with a great deal of real life trouble hitting me right now. I'll still be lurking around, reading the comments, doing stuff on my YouTube channel, as well as running Fallout is Dragons, but it'll be nice to put the comics aside for a bit.
When we come back, the next comic arc will be Sweet and Elite.
1. A sci-fi GURPS game where the GM let us make whatever alien we wanted with certain reason. Everyone made a creature who had some kind of "Magical" ability except for one player who played a mundane faerie type of alien. After a hilarious fight against a station's robot janitors, the mundane asked out loud "Who here is not mages?"
Everyone raised their hand.
"YOU'RE ALL LIARS!!"
The spot-on German accent he used made this hilarious.
2. Old AD&D 2nd edition Planescape campaign. The DM had all five of us players make our characters with him in secrecy from all the other players as a social experiment. So no player knew what classes others were using. When we began play, we had three wizards, a wizard/cleric hybrid, and my character - a fighter specializing in slaying wizards.
The awkwardness of the reveal was hilarious. And as we played my character turned out to be a "loveable rogue"/"Team mascot" character so it worked out.
Only <s>traitors</s>rogues can read this message. If you can read this, please immediately turn yourself in to <s>Friend Computer</s>Princess Celestia.
My bet is Fancy Pants isn't a rogue, and everyone else is. His wife/girlfriend/escort/whatever-the-hell-Fluer-de-Lis-is is the roguiest rogue to ever rogue.
Shocking Twist: There are no more nobles, just rouges that married/fakes their way in, it's just that none of them realize the other nobles are rogues too and so noble titles are literally meaningless since they are all fake.
Once one my players decided he was going to have his wizard research some powerful spells during the session break which also included the time passing in game. Then somebody said that wasn't in the rules so he couldn't do it... then everyone started arguing.
Another day, another auguement.
This time, Rainbow and Rarity are saying that they are more dateable then the other.
Please put them in number form.
0: I rather date the next mule
11: Isn't that my made friend already
Applejack: 5
Fluttershy: 9
Pinkie Pie: 3 too much random
Rainbow Dash: 2 too much
Rarity: 7
Twilight Sparkle: 7
Hmmm, probably a personality type like AJ or Twi (my past records would indicate it as such). So those would get a 8 and 9 on the board. I almost dated a fluttershy type, but at the time I was too thick-headed to realize she was hitting on me. So that gets a 6. Everyone else probably a 3 or 4. I don't think I'd find a lot of commonality with sports types or really party-going types (I'm a "party soft/moderate" kind of person). Rarity is just too much drama. :3
(Didn't see this one coming)
Out of the Mane 6, or just Rarity and Dash? (Probably all)
Twilight: 7 (Too smart for me, but at least I'd learn something from talking.)
AppleJack: 7 (A bit too proactive, but cares for family and always helpful, worth a shot.)
Rainbow: 3 (I don't like sports, or being egotistical.)
Rarity: 3 (I live with a "Rarity" type, and that's hard enough.)
Pinkie: 5? (I don't like social stuff at all, but I like those who can stay positive.)
Fluttershy: 9 (I prefer those who can tolerate my ways.)
(P.S. This is who I find most "datable", correct? Unfortunatly I don't like dating, or anything with it, so 0's automatiacally for everypony. I prefer the friend zone.)
Nor did I, Specter, but since you guys already answered, I may as well throw out the numbers I came up with, even though it feels creepy.
Dash- 6; I like a gal who can fight and who'll let me cook, but we'd definitely butt heads over petty pride.
Rarity- 7; much like Dash in many ways, but better at letting things go.
Sparkle- 5; we'd get along great as close friends, but that's it. We have too much in common, and she's worse about most of it than me. My sloth would prolly tick her off, too.
Pinkie- 8; SANITY IS FOR THE WEAK (go Chaos!) + eternal optimism, energy, etc. I don't care for being pranked, but once boundaries are set, she respects them.
Fluttershy- 3. I love her as a character, but in person, I don't get on well with those who bottle up their anger and unleash it all at once; I'm too abrasive, so I tend to bear the brunt of that rage.
Applejack- 8. Athletic? Check. Honest? Generally. She pushes a lot of the right buttons for me to out of my way to at least befriend her, even though she'd regularly call me out when I was being a jerk and/or slacker.
Weird to consider this stuff. I think, though, that if I (somehow) met the Mane Six, we'd get along okay, and that's it, though I might pursue Applejack. I'm more used to -being- pursued, though, so I'd probably screw up.
I have to agree with you on the friend-zone thing.I personally see myself as way too young to date, but a lot of my classmates are dating, and it usually ends badly because high school dating isn't worth squat.
Junior high and high school dating is supposed to be for practice.
Sigh. College these days. On the one hand, frequent casual sex with strangers. On the other hand, crippling lack of dating and relationship skills, even among "normal" people. This is why more people should do practice dating when they're young and protected.
Applejack: 5 ( I find that my personality is most like Applejack and dating someone with the same personality can be hit or miss)
Fluttershy: 8 (I've dated someone like this and we are still good friends)
Twilight: 2 ( my best friend is like twilight and dating her would be like dating a sister)
Rarity: 0 (too much drama)
Pinkie pie: 4 (party types can be fun but not long term dating fun)
Rainbow Dash: 1 (no joke, the one person I dated with this kind of personality turned out to be a lesbian)
Hmmm, this how I would rate each one:
Twilight: 7 (She has high expectations, which I hate having to meet because I just people having high expectations for me, and a bit of a know-it-all, but I'm guilty of it too)
Rarity: 9 (I like a classy girl and has some elegance to her style, but the drama can be a bit too much and she's generous like I can be at times)
Pinkie Pie: 5 (Too hyper and sociable, I can be very serious and anti-social, but she has a good sense of humor)
Applejack: 6 (Too over-protective, but is very loving of her family and respects others)
Rainbow Dash: 7 (Not the biggest sport fanatic, but I can talk about certain athletic topics with her, but the ego needs to calm down some)
Fluttershy: 10 (I love soft-spoken, cute girls and shows kindness to others. And besides I've dated a Fluttershy before)
Hmm... I'm not old enough to seriously date (I don't want to until I can actually Marry the person) but if I were...
RD: 3 kind of arrogant and abrasive. I wouldn't mind her as a friend tho
Rarity: 4 fussy and particular. No thanks
Twi: 8 pleasant and geeky, and I'm sure we could have some interesting conversations.
AJ: 8 honest and loyal- two things I value. Good for advice
FS: 8 she is really shy but if I could get her to open up, she would be wonderfull.
Pinkie: 4 friends? Heck yeah. Date? Ehh, maybe not
Applejack: 7 - Self-sufficient, tough, and very supportive. Plus, I love Apples! (though, strangely, not apple pie)
Fluttershy: 10 - Kind, caring, and very sweet. So gentle, and forgiving, would be willing to put up with all my crap.
Pinkie Pie: 7 - Sweets, Sweets, Sweets! PARTY! And nothing wrong with being a little crazy.
Rainbow Dash: 6 - Seems like she'd be fun to hang out with.
Rarity: 5 - As many have said, she's beautiful and generous, but a bit high-strung.
Twilight Sparkle: 10 - I like smart women. I imagine I could stay up all night talking to her about anything and everything.
For completeness sake:
Luna: 9 - I've always been a night person ;)
Trixie: 6 - For the same reason as Twilight, assuming she's finally learned her lesson.
Zecora: 7 - Exotic, intelligent, but she has that weird rhyming tic that would get old. Fast. Though I could certainly get used to it in time.
Also:
Raxon: 8 - Purely Platonic. Seems like he'd be fun to hang out with, and would make a great wingman. Whaddaya say, Rax? Wanna head down to Sugercube Corner and try to pick up some mares?
P.P.S. You know what the show needs? A female dragon! (Not necessarily a girlfriend for Spike, but consider: every Dragon we've met so far has been male (or at least, VERY masculine, kinda hard to tell))
I'm guessing Kriss is like me in this regard. There are a number of different definitions of asexual (as an orientation), I'm both asexual and a-romantic but I still fit both under the term "asexual."
Pinkie: 8. I dated one party crazy/social girl who had that crazyness (the depressing side too) it didn't work out because of her family.
Rarity: 6. I like the fashion, the way she can care about you, but the drama sometimes can be hard to witstand.
Fluttershy: 0. I can't stand her to be honest, neither that type of girl that is always silent and wont get mad often, until she screams at you for an hour then says sorry and cries.
Applejack: 7 she would hate my laziness when it comes to work, but her value of family and friendship are something that could make me fall for her
Rainbow Dash: 10. I don't see her as a "sports crazy" but more as someoone who would be deeply involved in one physical activity. I love that, she's loyal too. I like a girl who has that ego and firmly brlieves she's the best.
Twilight: 4. Too many books, too little going out and having fun. Also she kind of expects too much from people sometimes.
Well, I'm glad that joke's out of the way.
...I almost referenced Blaze Dervish before remembering she's an OC. XD
Though speaking of flames, I do wonder where the Wonderbolts' smoke trails come from... maybe Spitfire invented it as an application of Pegasus cloud-magic.
RD's rainbow trail is actually what made me speculate on the subject, since it - and Lightning Dust's, later - were unique. My earlier reasoning was based on someone, perhaps Spitfire, being the ace of the prior generation, and teaching others their unique trail, since most pegasi don't seem to have them.
That, and I suspected Rainbow's trail might be some kind of lingering fragment of broken physics from her Sonic Rainboom... makes me wonder how Lightning Dust earned her cutie mark!
You may have noticed that I wonder a lot.
I think along the same lines. Contrails are caused by the interaction of air and ludicrous amounts of pegasus magic, following similar mechanics as a unicorn's horn glow, and just as unique.
Wonderbolt uniforms have a sort of "aft enhancer" that allows just about any pegasus wearing one to generate the signature stormclouds.
The trail Rainbow leaves is basically a cartoony motion blur, probably similar to the ones in Powerpuff Girls (not necessarily trailing any sort of light or superpower, just simplified incredibly to the character's main colour/colour theme).
I'm jumping forward a bit. I'll be jumping back soon afterwards. The plan here is still to traverse Season One, but I thought adding Sweet and Elite would fit my needs.
It should be a relatively short arc, also. Hopefully.
huh. Already? Much as I liked the Diamond Dog arc in general, I'd have thought there's have been a few more other episodes before Rarity got to take her new persona for a spin, just for spacing concerns (her getting to use it every once in a while without it becoming a primary focus of the group.). Oh well, I'll wait and see what happens.
...Just noticed Fluttershy's hat disappeared between panels.
Well, I know what I'm watching next! And then it'll probably turn into another "Best of Mental Breakdowns" marathon...
Well, turns out I'm a filthy liar. Equestria Girls was still in my queue when I fired up Netflix, so I watched that instead. Now I can start on Season 4! Yay!
Tomorrow shall be the hat-scene check and madness marathon, fortune willing. Not that any of this is relevant to anything...
What if the "Innanimate objects" at pinkie's "Become the perfect DM" party was acctual players who were "Pro", and Rainbow and Pinkie just left them there at Pinkie's house?
An empty fridge, giant novelty foam penises everywhere. The grill used and not cleaned. THE TOILET SEAT LEFT UP! ANARCHY DESCENDED AND CHAOS REIGNS IN ITS WAKE!
Panel 16 (Pinkie's repoofing hair) made me think of the rainbow-haired "worst mother ever" from Kill La Kill, and I haven't even watched that show. Damn it, Internet, stop making me a fan of things I know nothing about!
Any bets on who from Sweet & Elite is/isn't a rogue?
1. A sci-fi GURPS game where the GM let us make whatever alien we wanted with certain reason. Meh, back to watching Tomodachi wa Mahou!
P.S. Relevent (But a day late :( )

Second, Disloyal and Digo, I have no idea. Rainbow Dash has the same thing though, she seems to make a rainbow when she flies fast.
420 is a number associated with marijuana culture. No particular reason why, it just sort of happened.
"Dude... 420..."
"Whoa, yeah... and munchies..."

Seriously? Do I need to change my pic?
And Specter gets the Bronze Booties!
