DM: It's the goons' turn. Isabela's pretty upset about getting hit four times in a row, in part thanks to Rainbow's flanking.
Rainbow Dash: HA HA!
DM: She swings at Rainbow… and misses.
Rainbow Dash: Immediate reaction, Curtain of Steel! Toro! Toro! And if I add Furious Assault to that… That's four weapons worth of damage! Awwww yeah! Rainbow's back on a roll!
Applejack: Nicely done! I wouldn't go so far as to call you curse-free yet, but that's a heck of a catch-up.
DM: Well, Isabela's still not bloodied yet… Uh… Pinkie?
Pinkie Pie: Hey there! Big fan! Don't mind me! Just casting Unluck for later! And now to retry Hideous Laughter! Why did the rubber chicken cross the road? He wanted to stretch his legs!!
SFX: (BA-DUM TISH)
DM: ...Is there such a thing as a natural 0?
I bought a DVD set of a show I loved to train in front off. I just have to do it now... but I'm being know to never remember what my New Year's resolution was. So we can say that I hope I'll be more physically active this year...
Not because I wanna get thinner (well it would be lovely but not willing to put that much efforts) but only because physical excercice is good when you are feeling down and it improve the quality and quantity of my sleep schedule. I love food too much so I excercice myself to not get fatter rather then get thinner. XD
Getting more sleep is also a good idea but now, I have less trouble sleeping with my new work schedule.
My new years resolution is to start a stream channel where I admit that I suck at most video games and instead of taking months to "get gud", I chug a beer and make failing an entertaining train wreck to follow.
The Technical Guides, where you watch because the game is entertaining or you need to know how to get past a certain point,
The Rage Gamers, where you watch for the shadenfreude you get when they go absolutely apeshit over things, whether they're any good or not,
And the Goofs, where you watch for them being terrible at the game, but having amusing commentary and a sense of wonder and accomplishment whenever they succeed at something.
I might be either the elusive sixth kind of gamer (All of the Above), or an offshoot of the third kind.
In certain games, I'll search out the lore (Destiny, Halo), but in others (Bloodborne, Dark Souls), I won't bother.
I love trying to 100% a game, and/or get all the achievements, but I also won't spend more than 2 or 3 weekends on a single game in a row.
I suck at gaming, whether it's due to forgetting controls, getting them confused between games*, bad luck/RNG, or just plain lack of skill, I've never really played through a game with the specific goal of being perfect at it. I can and will screw up at level 100 just as much as I did at level 1.
I don't like fighting games. They're pistachios for me. I hate the flavor, but if I'm bored and there's some nearby, I'll scarf it down for hours, hating myself the entire time. Racing games are a bit better, but I still prefer RPGs, puzzles, and FPS games.
My life is devoid of interesting anecdotes, so my commentary, were I to provide any, would be random and rambling at best.
TL;DR I don't know if I'd make a good host, but plop me in front of a game and even if I don't particularly like it I'll play it for a good long while.
*Switching between Mario + Rabbids and Bloodborne was rather amusing, as I somehow beat Rom first try while continuously pressing the wrong buttons.
Definitely a combo between the third and fourth kind. I love video games and lore but sometimes I can be really bad at them (other times I can be really good at them)
Yeah Pinkie, I think you're kind of stretching it a little thin there with your jokes. Might want to change it up a little? Use a rubber rabbit instead?
Anyway, my New Year's resolution? Finally finish that FoE story I've been working on for the last 2 1/2 years. Then again, that was my resolution last year too so yeah.... At least I'm working on my last chapter right now, so I might actually succeed with my resolution this year. ^_^
Eh, if Pinkie keeps trying I'm sure she'll bounce back. If not, at least she's entertaining her band. If only she had a more flexible GM, though; she might make said GM positively elastic.
Holy Moley! Finally caught up on this comic. Took me three days or something, but I did it. And I don't even watch MLP anymore ^^
Really love what you're doing here. Wouldn't have thought you could turn a (mostly) episodic show into a proper campaign wiht an overarching plot, but damn, I love it.
I honestly had a pretty good 2017: Took up bouldering as a new sport, did more regular fitness, kicked sugar and fat out of my diet. All of that let me go from 95kg (190pounds) to 87 (172).
Also did a lot of things for my mental hygiene, which is finally paying off, as well. My resolution for 2018 is the same as 2017: Keep working on becoming the person I want to be.
So, while I'm pretty content, I wish all of you also manage to come closer to your goals.
Stretch his legs is slang for take a walk, and rubber chickens are stretchy because rubber.
It was a pun more lame than a pony with a broken leg. It was week-er than a calendar. It had more holes than the plot of a bad fanfic. It's more tired than an 18 wheeler.
I could go on, as I am a punslinger, but I'll egress from this conversation.
We're past the holiday season at last! I don't know about you, but my New Year's resolution is to get more sleep.
