I like to think that this is Applejack subconsciously remembering the lesson from last time that, sometimes, it's better to quit the gag while you're ahead.

It's great when the players can read the room and know when to start reeling it in, and pull it off without breaking character either. But what if she'd just gone for broke? Where would not-RD and not-Rarity have led him?

From how I understand it, they are leading him nowhere. The tunnel is infinite/repeats, it's just to delay him.

"I know what's really going on.
I'm just having fun tricking them into thinking they trick me"

Wouldn't expect any less from the parties resident meta-gamer.

is it really 'metagaming' to point out that the Element of Loyalty just said "Forget your friends!"?

Uh oh, betcha Sandbar will have to fight 'RD' & 'Rarity' now. Can he take them?
Mr. Guy 5th Sep 2019, 6:36 PM edit delete reply
With that statement it's obvious. I'm surprised the GM doesn't seem to get it. They represent the Elements of Harmony and are teachers at the School of Friendship. Why in Tartarus would the real ones say 'Your friends don't matter'?

That, and the comment about disappointing the heroes -- ignoring that it is more common that the heroes are admonished not to disappoint the fan-base.

DM has akways been pretty bad at spotting that kind of thematics

glamour! It's magic!

They're obviously fakes because Rarity is passing up the chance to create matching school uniforms for Sandbar and his friends.

The GM is stalling using a trap to make things go longer and the player join the GM in stalling everyone else. Any story similar?
