Author Notes:

I never wanted to dwell on the drama for too long, but this was a little therapeutic.

If you're hungry for more details, I'll tell you right now you're not gonna get 'em from me.

Notice: Guest comic submissions are open! Guidelines here. Deadline: January 27th, 2023.

Draw your own conclusions... or, if you lack drawing skills, commission an artist to draw conclusions for you. They need to eat too. :3

Don't those live on a diet of exposure? Color me surprised.
FanOfMostEverything 17th Sep 2020, 8:23 AM edit delete reply
Alternatively, write your own conclusions. Or make a screencap comic, but then we might be getting too recursive.
Anon 17th Sep 2020, 11:44 AM edit delete reply
Or write a fanfic of 100.000 word about your conclusions

(In the American decimal system, that's a pretty short fanfic.)

Winged Cat
Is that a prompt for some guest comics, next time they come up?

Dunno, was just sketching out a joke. XD

I'm not wholesome! YOU'RE WHOLESOME! Stop making me feel good!

Although considering how much of a segue this was, it definitely reads more as something the author needed than something the story needed.

It can be both... Recovering from family is something a lot of people have to deal with.
albedoequals1 17th Sep 2020, 10:30 AM edit delete reply
What you say is true, and that's tragic. Family should be the ones helping you recover, not the ones you recover from

It read perfectly naturally to me as two people realizing that their issues were causing problems in game (and in broader life) and stepping out of the game to resolve things before it escalated- which I assumed was intended as a deliberate contrast to the Discord arc. It didn't occur to me at all that it might be a case of "write what you know" until I read the author notes.

I've had multiple comments throughout this arc to the effect of "Oh boy, I can't wait for the other boot to drop when Twilight blows up on her brother." Just saying.

Been foreshadowed for like six years, too.

Yes, but it barely makes a dent on the current narrative, and (apparently, I'll admit) it comes and goes in two pages. I'm not saying there's a problem with it or that it's bad, and if it was foreshadowed it would have needed some form of resolution. Only that it's not filling a "dense" role here, to put it some way.
Jannard 18th Sep 2020, 6:21 AM edit delete reply
Although I do admit I didn't even remember the foreshadowing. Considering that and the fact that the nature of this arc doesn't allow for overextended drama, I can see my speculation on the "authorial discharge" was mostly very unfounded.

On that foreshadowing, when did the GM realize that Twilight/Tara's brother was also using this same system in a different campaign? Before or after this point?
Newbiespud 19th Sep 2020, 12:31 AM edit delete reply
A ways after that point. The DM creating a brother for Twilight and Twilight's player having a brother who has turned out to also be playing RPG ponies has always been a big cosmic coincidence.
