Honestly, I'm really glad that the comic versions of Shining and Cadance have gone over as well as they have. Much like the show, introducing family members of the main cast and dealing with family drama is no small undertaking.

Notice: Guest comic submissions are open! Guidelines here. Deadline: January 27th, 2023.

As a person with an estranged sister, I confess that I have been not untouched by this arc. Well done, and looking forward to what you come up with next.

"Bee tee dubs, you're gonna be an aunt in like, two more seasons."
"I... What?!"

I think drama is always part of the package somewhere in those sibling relationships. I think it was handled well in this arc.

"Wowee, you mean she's going to be able to lift fifty times her own weight and-"

"Not that type of ant. Just because your sibling becomes a parent doesn't buff you up."

"Not even if you'll be called to help with child care?"

"...fair point, but it doesn't buff THAT much. And it can give the Exhausted debuff."

That Exhausted debuff also can't be removed by any mortal magic spell. Only sleep. XD

There aren't any rules for sleeping though.

It's always nice to see some healthy sibling relationships in fiction (or just healthy relationships in general).
I think it works well not just because how both characters were portrayed was great, but because it also works as the antithesis against DiscorDM’s player and play style.

We have two guest players who recognize that they are guests at someone else’s table, ask before making large decisions, are respectful to the other players and their insecurities, are understanding in general and are fine with not having the spotlight on them at all times. And most importantly, remember that the game is about the players enjoyment as much as it’s about the DM’s.
