Sometimes the transition from "adventuring peer of questionable morality bound to you by destiny and convenience" to "dependable friend" can sneak up on your PC relationships over the course of a campaign.

Since my birthday is next week (and because I want that day off), we ended up running The Forgotten Ones two weeks in a row!

That's one of the fun things about gaming. How you can make friends with someone you otherwise probably wouldn't even really notice.

So I'm guessing Rainbow Dash agrees with Derek that turbulent flow is more awesome than laminar flow? Well, everypony makes mistakes sometimes... :P

Winged Cat
They can both be awesome. It depends on the circumstance.

Laminar flow is for keeping, and turbulent flow is for sharing :p

My best in-game friendships were like that I think. Or at least to a degree.

One was orchestrated, as we decided the complete-opposite-alignment mirror double would become bff's "and sisters" with her original. They were mostly terrified of being in a high level good-aligned party and having a compulsion to do evil (but very specifically, Card Carrying Villain and Poke the Poodle type evil).

Another my CE child character basically reverse-adopted a LG character, convinced her that leaving would be against the law due to guardianship laws (it was not and she was not the legal guardian anyway), and repeatedly tormented her. Not fully complete friendship, but the CE kid always made sure the LG PC was well at the end. Just...not mentally. She needed a lot of therapy.

Adventuring does make for strange bedfellows, both in the literal and figurative sense.

Like how my entire party likes to use my Conjuration Companion giant ooze cat as a water bed? ...She does make a great waterbed.

There's another detail I never noticed before - Rarity tearing up.
