I've probably said this before, and I'll say it again: I could never fill Pinkie Pie's role. My social anxiety makes this job an absolute terror for me, and while I respect it, I don't envy her for it.

Notice: Guest comic submissions are open! Guidelines here. Deadline: January 27th, 2023.

I couldn't either, and that's what makes her so damned vital to this town. Entertainers in a world with no TV or social media?

Even if they had TV and social media, entertainers are important. Boring TV is worse than no TV in my opinion. ^^

As much as I love my anime and internet... I would be deep in books without them.

But you do make us smile, Spud! Though maybe with different tactics: a comic, instead of parties.

Totally. Never think you're not having an impact, Spud. I have learned greater respect for your effort now that I've started a gaming blog of my own; several other bloggers I respect have already followed me, which is a bit nerve-wracking.

I, too, heavily respect The Pink One. I'm not a party person or a comedian. I'm 27 and still learning how to be socially functional.

Pretty much everything is easier than adulting.

I only know a tiny bit of astrophysics from SpaceTime, Scott Manley, etc. That's still more than what I know about adulting.

The good news is that socializing is a learned behavior like any other. And while some (most?) people pick it up naturally, even those of us who don't can do it by dint of concerted effort and careful observations of the patterns that underlie human social interactions. It is possible, so don't lose hope.

Hi, there. Just wanted to say that I really appreciate that this arc's going into the difference between "bad stuff happens but players still have control of their characters" and "bad stuff happens because the DM took control of the characters away from their players" from the Discord arc.

Really shows how far everypony's come from that, and gives some great examples of how to draw those lines better for other DMs and players.

I feel like the more obvious issue than everyone being inherently reliant on Pinkie to make them happy is that they need her to cheer them up after the terrible fashion, wild animal attacks, bizarre weather and food shortages they've been subjected to.
