Look at this; look at what Tirek's doing to me. There's barely a punchline on this page. I just ended up wanting to write a villainous monologue!

There may not be a punchline, but that is one heck of a Wham Line from Tirek.

And what's wrong with a monologue? It's every DM's dream to have one that goes uninterrupted by their players, so of course you'd want to experience the same via comics!

I'd honestly betray my side and join the ponies too if I were there. XD

Everyone would. That was the ponies' trump card in at least 90% of G1 plots. There might have been an episode where a badguy didn't defect to the pony side, but if there was, I don't remember it.

G1 Tirek was killed, so that's one at least.

Scorpan defected. I didn't say all badguys, just a badguy. Most commonly it was the second-in-command or a minion.

I see what the DM's doing. Planting the seeds of harmony into Discord's head- the narrative parallels of a villainous partner that begins helping the ponies, of creating plans and then eventually double-crossing them...

We know the DM and players had some sort of a plan for this session with Discord. I wonder how much of this is according to their plans?

I think this is a good point. Something about this situation definitely feels like the DM especially is learning to predict DiscorDM a bit.

Sometimes a little punchline after a villain's monologue doesn't hurt, specially when the monologue it's not interrupted.

And that's the joke.
