Don't have much else to say on this page, other than it's clear the animators either had a great time or a frustrating time making Discord noodle-wobble.

Notice: Guest comic submissions are open! Guidelines here. Deadline: January 27th, 2023.

The Great/Frustrating time I think would depend on how good their animation tools were. It's a neat effect, but certainly a complex one.

The GM isn't doing too bad with juggling the two sides so far.

Weirdly enough, I think knowing the payoff for all this setup in advance is just making me more excited.

I'm interested in the parts of the payoff we don't know; it does seem like we're still heading for a betrayal from Tirek, but I'm curious what happens after that in a world where the Mane Six have no reason to treat Discord as a friend.

Seconded. Part of the appeal of this comic as a whole is that we (sort of) know WHAT is going to happen, but because of the different context, we have no idea HOW it's going to happen. I'm hyped to see exactly how this goes down, and how the players deal with the fallout.

Totally agreed. I hope that they really will see eye to eye at the end, but an "agree to disagree" ending would work just as well.

Remember that the DM and the Mane Six had come up with some sort of plan for this session in advance. I wonder how much of this situation is part of the plan, and how much is the DM's improvising?

Hard to say. They effectively spent a session offscreen planning for everything Discord might come up with, using their DM's knowledge and history of the guy as a reference (hence the betting on what would he do when the Orbital Friendship Cannon starts firing), and they said him getting help might be a possible response, but how far can one really plan for a guy who turns out to rarely have a complete plan in the first place?

My guess is that they planned, at the very least, to have Discord get weak and also that Discord might possibly bring in backup to help him out. The specifics beyond that are likely up in the air. Though I feel like the party is still holding their cards back.

Yeah it's either a great time or a frustrating time making such animation...
And so Discord feels the transfer ( still knowing what is) and will not tell to Tyrek, maybe that would be the (or a) reason for future betrayal of Tyrek
