FLuttershy does the Pinkie Sonata! Fluttershy tripped!

This has been your pointless FF3/6 reference for the day.
Digo 1st Jan 2013, 10:01 AM edit delete reply
Ahahaha... I got it :D
Zuche 1st Jan 2013, 6:22 AM edit delete reply
"Of all the men's voices of all the players in all the world, she had to ask for mine."

Happy New Year, Happy New Year,
May we all have a vision now and then,
Of a world where every neighbour is a friend.

The rest of the ABBA song might not suit her so well, but I think Pinkie might identify with this part of the chorus.
Gaston 1st Jan 2013, 6:28 AM edit delete reply
I just want to know the deal with the blue spots. I understand Rainbow Dash's weren't visible, but Pinkie and Twilight had them... Question being, where are Fluttershy's blue spots? Her throat?
Zuche 1st Jan 2013, 6:53 AM edit delete reply
Fluttershy does have a bad habit of internalizing things.
Derpmind 1st Jan 2013, 6:55 AM edit delete reply
In her soul.
Cob 1st Jan 2013, 8:36 AM edit delete reply
Well... What's the main difference between men and women? You're welcome.

In addition, do you use antlers in all of your decorating?
Zuche 1st Jan 2013, 8:48 AM edit delete reply
Tell me, Cob, how do you feel about pizza?
T 1st Jan 2013, 8:50 PM edit delete reply
The main difference between male and female in MLP world are eyelashes.

And that's why Rarity is a trap!
CJT 2nd Jan 2013, 1:14 AM edit delete reply
Actually, the main visual cue for most of them seems to be nose shape. Female ponies have concave bridges, while males have convex ("Roman nose" type) bridges.

Exceptions exist (Fancy Pants), but they're rare and tend to have other exaggerated male characteristics (Fancy Pants' mustache, in this case).
Ponikon 2nd Jan 2013, 7:18 AM edit delete reply
First read-though I expected that to be "Fancy Pants' -horn-"...Freud, anyone?
bobmortar 2nd Jan 2013, 11:12 AM edit delete reply
CJT: There are females with more rectangular noses (like the princesses or Zecora) and males with more rounded noses (Snips and Snails for example).
So yeah, eyelashes are a better way to identify males and females in the show, and that's why Rarity is a trap :D
CJT 3rd Jan 2013, 8:31 AM edit delete reply
For the princesses and Zecora, look again. Track from the forehead down to the tip of the muzzle: they're concave. Comapre to, say, Doctor Whooves or Big Mac.

Snips and Snails are exceptions to the "males are convex" rule, granted; I think that's a stylistic choice for making them look like kids.
Gaston 2nd Jan 2013, 6:39 AM edit delete reply
As a matter of fact, yes, I do use antlers in all of my DECORATING!!!
Logan Cunningham (not) 1st Jan 2013, 7:23 AM (not really) edit delete reply
Kid knew what he was askin' for; knew how much it would pain me. But one look at that face of his and I had to oblige him. Sometimes you just have to do things you don't like. Gods know the kid's been through enough of that. Gods know we'll all go through too much more.

I read that in the voice of the narrator from Bastion.

Survay and Poll Time:
For the Survay: How many of you go back to past comics and post comments on them, and how far would they be.
Poll:In a past poll, I asked for diffent posion joke themes. Well, I'm not done yet. This time we will focus on Tia and Luna. Do I even have ask?
Tia and Luna switches coats. Luna be comes sun white, and Tia becomes midnight blue, my favorite color.
Have a happy new year.
CJT 2nd Jan 2013, 1:17 AM edit delete reply
It's very rare for me to go back more than one update.

That's why I suggested that you post the "favourite of the mane 6" vote results in the current thread, not the vote's thread. I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't want to dig through the archives for it.

There have been two debate threads that had me visiting the archives, but in both cases it took less than a week for me to say "screw it, I'd rather be having fun".
Zuche 2nd Jan 2013, 7:09 AM edit delete reply
I don't recommend it. We haven't seen Raxon since he set out with that goal in mine. I don't think his time machine could handle the strain.
Tatsurou 2nd Jan 2013, 1:02 PM edit delete reply
Actually, I have better idea for Princess Poison Joke.
Tia is compelled to speak in royal plural with the Royal Canterlot Voice.
Luna turns into Woona.

And I frequently reread the entire archive of this strip - since it's awesome - and often look down at the comments to see what's new there.

Quick! Before this bloody poll goes into effect!

Story Time! This comic, tell a story about something ridiculous a party member asked/pleaded for you to do, either on your own on in their stead.
Digo 1st Jan 2013, 10:06 AM edit delete reply
Once again, another "Expedition to Castle Ravenloft" story...

The party was camping out at the castle church area because the party cleric managed to form a small consecrate circle to protect them from all the undead roaming about.
The party monk saw a magic combat dummy outside a stain-glass window that he's been looking for. He asked everyone to help him smash through a window to get the dummy to bring back inside. We're talking a 7-foot 300 pound device here that's posted to the courtyard outside.
In the dark.

And it's storming hard.

No one was that brand of dumb so the monk went alone... and promptly got curbstomped by the device which was actually a Wood Golem.
AttentionDeficitGuy 2nd Jan 2013, 9:32 AM edit delete reply
Well, I'm not sure if this counts as "ridiculous" per se, but invariably, my party members will ALWAYS ask my character not to talk ever again. Impudent fools. Do they not realize how difficult it is for a man of my caliber to roleplay as an idiot?... okay, not that difficult, but the point still stands!

Punchline for last panel.
Fluttershy: Nnnope.

My punchline would be the GM or Pinkie saying, "C'mon! After all... All the world's a stage?"
Cain 1st Jan 2013, 3:54 PM edit delete reply
Funny moment from Gorgon asking me (I was DM at the time) 'Can I throw Davven?'

Fluttershy (man voice included): "...Seriously?"

Happy New Year, everypony.
Zuche 2nd Jan 2013, 7:13 AM edit delete reply
I'd swear that someone heard Ms. Creber say that in a conversation and declare that it had to be written into her scripts as often as possible. Her delivery is just that good.

Wouldn't surprise me, though I think they may have just used the same recording both times.

10.0 from the Canadian judge for that one.

Pinkie Pie's player in this page reminds me of players who don't get into character much to portray limitation in their characters; mute, deafness, blindness, lack of in-character knowledge, etc.

I can understand a player discussing something out of character (like a rule clerification). However, I've had IC situations where (for example) Player A translates a note that only he understands. Player A then secretly reveals the info to Player B. Player C wasn't in the room at the time, but acts like Player A already told Player C what the note means when Player A didn't want anyone else to know yet.

This is where a rolled up newspaper comes in to play...
Zuche 2nd Jan 2013, 7:21 AM edit delete reply
I recall having players tell a DM, "I tell the guy why we're here," being told to say it in character, and then saying, "I turn to him and tell him why we're here."

Digo 2nd Jan 2013, 10:27 AM edit delete reply
LOL, and this is why half the XP I hand out is purposely labeled for RPing only. :)
Masterofgames 2nd Jan 2013, 10:20 PM edit delete reply
My punchline.

GM: Wait, is your character making the same face that you are right now?

FS: Um... sure, I guess...

GM: Pinkie Pie suddenly finds herself unable to move or look away...
Crisis 2nd Jan 2013, 11:19 PM edit delete reply
Wait, the Stare vs the Puppy-Dog Eyes?

That's an infinite recursion loop waiting to happen!
