750 pages. Now there's a milestone. We made it this far, so 1000 no longer sounds impossible. That's incredible.

It's a lot later than I initially wanted it, but I finally managed to get a video out for you guys. A little something as celebration that I like to call Story Time 3.

Notice: Guest comic submissions are open! Guidelines here. Deadline: January 27th, 2023.

Congratulations on 750! I've been lurking for a while, and decided now would be a good time to come out of the darkness and give congratulations. Thank you for 750 pages of what can only be described as amazing and hilarious.

Haha, I like where panel 3 could have been going. My reaction would have been the opposite of the GM.

"Go on." ;)

But congrats on 750 pages! You have gotten far and still haven't scratched more than about 2... slightly over 2ish seasons worth of material? Seems like you could keep going for an other 75o. Well, if you want it.

I like the music choices on your Story Time! Lots of great ones this round. Best Story time Yet? Maybe! ...oh no, I remember one of those stories really well! LOL! XD
Winged Cat 12th May 2016, 11:25 AM edit delete reply
I would have had that reaction at panel 5. (Trying to lead her to realize on her own she was going about it the wrong way.)

But yes, congrats! And we do post a lot of stories, don't we? >_>

Already at 3/4 the way to a thousand its amazing. I recently was given a hilarious task by my DM he gave me 1000000 gp in a DnD 3.5/Pathfinder campaign and said get at ever you want and destroy all the Underdark this is going to be fun any item suggestions I should get.

*whatever sorry I have yet to make an account still even though I have been reading this for ages at this point.

Protection from magic is probably important. I think just about every underdark resident knows some spell or other.
Zephyr 12th May 2016, 7:15 AM edit delete reply
I think I have that mostly covered with a Dagger of Denial here is my rough shopping list so far.
aylatrigger 12th May 2016, 7:36 AM edit delete reply
Or if you are in a pony game, Protection from Friendship.

...And if you add in these alignments:
You get the Friendship Circle Against Boys/Girls

Aren`t there some decanters which can spill limitless amounts of water?
Juat get as many as you can for half your money, position them so that their water flows into the underdark and hire mercaneries to protect them.

Basically playing the long game of flooding the Underdark?
Zephyr 12th May 2016, 8:02 AM edit delete reply
I was told to destroy only the Drow city (3/4th the known campaign Underdark) so flooding and just buying enough Manuals of Strength to just collapse the Underdark by punching the ground are flat out.
Sani2341 12th May 2016, 8:08 AM edit delete reply
he didn´t get a time limit so it seemed like valid idea

Kind of depends if you want equipment or a one-off item to destroy the Underdark.

Equipment go for whatever makes sense with your characters. Be sure to abuse their best stat. (for instance, when I was said I could give a Lich Bard a minor artifact, I went with Id Portrait)

If you are just trying to destroy the Underdark in one epic activation, that is easier. You are not limited to items that actually exist. Magic Item Creation! Find your favorite spell combo, and make an item that does it better than a caster. If you have a dedicated magic item smith, you probably can get super combos even cheaper.
Unfortunately, I doubt that you can just decanter of endless water/dimension door to bottom of ocean the Underdark- there are probably enough casters that can breathe underwater. By the way, you need 360,000 gp for a use activated/continuous 9th level spell with caster level 20 item. And maybe with the Technological items you could build a literal nuke.
Zephyr 12th May 2016, 8:05 AM edit delete reply
My best stat is Dex and with it stealth I currently have a +21 inherent bonus to stealth and that is without items.
Anvildude 12th May 2016, 8:48 AM edit delete reply
Be... creative.

You're destroying the Under DARK, right?

See if you can get a magic item made (or hire wizards willing to) enchant the walls of all the caves with an eternal Sunlight Spell. Make it the UnderLight!
Zephyr 12th May 2016, 8:56 AM edit delete reply
Okay I may just drop everything and do that now

If you find a working plan for it, do... enlighten us with your findings.
Zephyr 12th May 2016, 10:13 AM edit delete reply
My current plan involves me taking advantage of Perfected MultiWeapon Fighting alongside telekinisis and sneaking around slaying as many foes as possible getting to the lower areas of the Underdark. Then I will destroy the foundations with a series of Strength and Engineering Checks destroying the city sector by sector. My current item set protects me from Spells and Energy to a fault while making my stealth nigh infallible I even have a high chance of sneaking past those with true sight.
you know that guy 12th May 2016, 3:59 PM edit delete reply
now there's a bright idea
Winged Cat 12th May 2016, 10:28 AM edit delete reply
Isn't the Underdark what the surface world rests upon, though? If you destroy the entire Underdark, the surface is going to have problems.

One possible solution is to turn the whole surface world into floating continents. Of course, if you can pull that off you've effectively left the Underdark behind anyway - though technically not a destruction.

Or just Plane Shift the entire planet into the Negative Energy Plane. The challenge was just to destroy the Underdark; I see no limiter against collateral damage.
Blueblade 13th May 2016, 7:35 PM edit delete reply
One of two choices...
2.)Buy nothing AND BRIBE EVRYONE!
Blueblade 13th May 2016, 7:37 PM edit delete reply
Upon second reading of comment I realized another option... BEFRIEND ALL OF UNDERDARK! And tell Goat mom I said hi.
Zephyr 16th May 2016, 9:55 AM edit delete reply
I was very tempted to invest in Cha boosters and do it that route, but I am playing Neutral Greedy oh sorry I mean Evil. That makes it not make much sense with a ruthless sell sword type becoming friend of all. Now if I was playing my Golem Cleric of friendship this would be a different story.

*Mostly Spoiler Free Review*

Newbie Dash

A lovely shout out to Newbiespud (I don't care if it isn't really, I'm calling it a shout out and you can't tell me otherwise ^_^ )

Another RainbowDash Wonderbolt episode
This time its official
RD is a full blown Wonderbolt
So what does rainbowdash do on her first Day?
Yup acts like a newbie...roll credits

Ok she makes a fool of herself earning an embarassing nickname.

Highlights of the episode

1) a very well done (G rating) representation of a team Hazing of a rookie
2) RD is best at being all Mane 6
3) Rainbow Dash finally achieved her dream which is a nice way of showing how much her character has grown since season 1

I really liked the fact that we got to see more of the wonderbolts and learning a little more about them.
Plus they all have embarassing nicknames
Overall another good episode.

The show will be going into a summer hiatus in June
June 11th to be exact
So that means that episode reviews will be going on hiatus as well (sad, I know)
But we still have 6 episodes to go before than so onto the next

Wait, it's contagious to the flyers?
How many do you think will be out because of this?

Everypony except Dash, Spitfire, and a hooful of other pegasi.

It's a really bad guess, but that's my guess (and a surface scratch of my paranoia).

Congrats on page 750 Spud.

It takes some serious dedication to go this far with a side project - but I've enjoyed coming back to read it every couple of days for the past couple years.

Here's to more years to come!

I've been following this web comic for awhile now, and I honestly LOVE it.

With your permission, I'd like to keep an offline copy for myself. I promise to not distribute it (without getting a very specific "okay" from you first), but I may show it to others if only to get them interested.

I also promise to not post it on pinterest, deviantart, facebook, or any other website without either a very obvious link, or making sure that you are given credit for this without your permission for that specific instance on said specific website (if I even post it on a website).

Kudos on another milestone, Spud. I've enjoyed this comic for several years now, and I'm glad to see how far it's come. Keep up the good work!

Alt-script time!
TS: So, is there any treatment for the feather flu?
DM: Lots of rest, drinking fluids, taking baths...but no instant cure-all.
FS: Oh my. At least we caught it fast enough to keep it from spreading. But it looks like I'm going to have to sit the hurricane out.
RD: ...You know what? No.
AJ: Uh, what do you mean, no?
RD: I'm going give Fluttershy a super-bath and roll a Heal check to cure her.
AJ: ...You...what?
RD: Fluttershy's only been around Thunderlane for a little bit. Maybe a quick disinfection or something will help.
RY: Darling, there's no possible way with your ranks in Heal that you could possibly-
RD: *roll* Nat 20!
DM: ...What do you want me to say? That splashing some water causes the blisters to wash out like make-up? She's still going to be sick.

Grats on the 750 spud! I know I don't post often but I'm not much of a talker anyways. In anycase here's to the next milestone!

Well, at least Fluttershy's medical skill is better then virtually everyone else I know.

... even if it means she herself gets sick.
Blueblade 13th May 2016, 7:41 PM edit delete reply
I mean you think she could've had a chance to roll heal or something like that to avoid getting sick... Oh well.
