I'm pretty sure this stellar "joke" has been in my mind since I started the goshdarn comic six years ago. What a journey it's been to get here.

Notice: Guest comic submissions are open! Guidelines here. Deadline: January 27th, 2023.

So this comic has been a six year set up for a pie joke? Given the subject matter of the joke, you could say it's... irrational. ;)

In another campaign comic, a woman named Bonnie starts cracking up laughing and can't explain why.

Eh, I've read 8-Bit Theater. I've seen worse.

It took him what, 12 years to set up that four white mages joke?

If it was for a pie joke or two, shouldn't it have been closer to 6.28 years?
ZhonLord 17th Aug 2017, 5:53 PM edit delete reply
Winged Cat, that was bad and you should feel bad.

Only if two pies were involved, Winged Cat.

This reminds me of a time when we witnessed somepony trip and drop their (very large) wedding cake over a banister. When the party was asked if they wanted to do anything the answer was 'no'.

Sad to say they forgot they were below the banister.

So this was a case where going off the rails was... a piece of cake?

Well, I laughed, so…good job?

I guess, talking to GM is free action?

Applejack demurs. Talking to the GM like this means the NPC might not buy another pie, thus lost profits.
tolich 18th Aug 2017, 3:40 AM edit delete reply
Err, 'free action' means no virtual time is spent, so RD cannot fail saving the pie by talking to GM.

Ah... kind of a reminder of how different canon RD is from FiD RD, as well as the latter's player.
aerion111 19th Aug 2017, 2:13 AM edit delete reply
Well, to be fair, show-RD wasn't doing it to be nice either.
But I'm wondering how she'll end up doing the other shenanigans - perhaps Spud will go the route of having her cause chaos intentionally again, like the garden party.
Dusk Raven 19th Aug 2017, 2:39 AM edit delete reply
She did, however, save the pie. Makes kind of a big difference regardless of her motives.

Of course, show!RD actually cared very much about the Wonderbolts. FiD!RD's player seems to be getting into roleplaying, but is still quite apathetic compared to her show self.
