Seems like the last thing you'd want to hunt, to designate as your "game," would be a ninja, but what do I know?

One week until page 1000...

Well then. This is an improvement from the original haha

Tv show, you mean?
FanOfMostEverything 9th Dec 2017, 6:01 AM edit delete reply
Hey, if you can see the ninja to mark them, then you're already ahead of the game.

Heh TV tropes now complains that you use an adblock and tells you how many pages you have visited on the site every time you change pages. This will actually make the tv tropes black hole of time less likely to happen with that constant reminder.

Thank goodness, I've been wasting too much time on the site there already. Now I can actually do something more productive like... like...

... I'll get back to you on that.

I've known that TV Tropes was awful since 2014; hopefully more and more people start realizing the truth about that site.

A lot of sites complain about ad-blocking, but I feel that if they would police their site to stop popups and auto-play videos, I wouldn't need Adblock to begin with.
Wyvern 10th Dec 2017, 12:31 AM edit delete reply
I also use NoScript, so I don't see whining about AdBlock either.
BR549 11th Dec 2017, 12:49 AM edit delete reply
Ah, but you see, TVTropes gets you there too. If you have AdBlock -and- NoScript, you don't get to see -anything- unless you allow some alphanumeric-looks-like-classic-malware-bait-URLs-that-apparently-actually-belong-to-Google to run.

I haven't looked back.

Than there is the popovers and popunders that are even worst than those.

"Those darn ninjas. They're wacky...."

Is what every on-screen iteration of The Tick has FAILED to say, much to my eternal chagrin.

Wow, page 1000 already? Time really does fly doesn't it? I remember back when I first found this comic around page 416 or so. I ended up going back to D&D because of this comic (and because I desperately wanted to have some stories to share for Story Time, even if none of them made it into the videos) and I went to my first pony con because I wanted to meet Spud in person. So much has happened since then that it's kind of hard to believe that we're here right now.

Good Job, Spud! Got anything special for comic 1000 planned?

I've got an idea for something special. Not quite like the previous Story Time vids, but kinda jumping off from that.

Aw, I really liked the Storytime videos. Honestly I'd like them even if you just did them in comic or slideshow form without any narration.

Ahh, but the Conservation of Ninjitsu is in effect. So Applejack is perfectly fine on bashing those ninjas' heads... at least until they get down to the last one, but that'll probably be Elusive, and that's already a bad situation there, so no major loss.

That's a question I never thought of. When you defeat a ninja, at what speed does Ninjitsu move to make the remaining ninjas more competent?
Robin Bobcat 11th Dec 2017, 4:19 PM edit delete reply
It doesn't. It's pre-divided by encounter. Sometimes a clever ninja will get two or even three helpings, and be the last ninja standing as a result.
Hariman 11th Dec 2017, 10:14 PM edit delete reply
At the same speed that Kingship moves to the heir, when the ruling king dies.

You say ninjas are a dangerous thing to target, but I counter that nothing is more dangerous than an overt mad PC with ideas. Like say, Javolt was.
The Old One 9th Dec 2017, 5:01 PM edit delete reply
The best ninjas don't wear the black pajamas. The black pajama guys are mooks. They might land a hit, but they're all just hoping to survive long enough to become the trainer that sends all the mook ninjas into the fight.

The best ninjas either have an abundance of facial hair (usually surprisingly long instead of thick) or are green and wear color coded domino masks.

Or as John Goodman said in Speed Racer: "It's terrible what passes for a ninja these days."

...almost thought there was gonna be a Master of Martial Hearts reference in here, glad there isn't.

Because that is a bad, BAD anime.
WuseMajor 9th Dec 2017, 6:07 PM edit delete reply
I love the use of "As You Wish" here.

No, not really.

Dirty ninjas always play dirty.

So who is a party tank? I imagine RD to be the most buff, but also enemies freely ignoring her if they wish, so... AJ?

Problem with using so many ninjas as his mooks: Conservation of Ninjitsu.

Funny for acting so aggressively so often Dash leads the 1st round in a boss fight using what I recall is an at will power and then choosing to not use an action point on a class that really rewards using a daily early and often in rages.

Dash's player is much more cautious than I would have expected.
Hariman 11th Dec 2017, 10:17 PM edit delete reply
Dash needed a hit to use one of her big attacks, and she missed. Hence, she's saving her action point for a better hit and a round when she can do WAY more damage.

Also, it's only round one, so we'll probably see the action point/dailies very soon!

Wait. The ninjas are all blue-eyed and Pinkie Pie pink. Is this where Twilight zapped all Pinkie's clones in "Too Many Pinkie Pies"?

Y'know there's an anime out there called "Master of Martial Hearts" that's nothing but a bunch of girls beating each other up and ripping apart their clothes in the process. I suspect that just like in that show the first and only casualty in the upcoming fight will be Rarity's dress.

Why is it I hear Blueblood saying as you wish in a creepy Princess Bride way.
hariman 11th Dec 2017, 10:15 PM edit delete reply
That's probably the intent!
