I haven't already used this line, have I? No? I managed to save it until nearly the thousandth page? (Probably long after anyone who watched the show remembers it was even a minor meme in Season 1?)

Sweet. No, wait, it's come up once before and another time in a guest comic. Ah well. I still appreciate ChrisTheS for putting it in, because I at least had to get one in during a combat scene.

Notice: Guest comic submissions are still open until this arc is finished! Guidelines here.

No way, you must have used it before, right? Everyone uses that line, it's like a rule. :P

I couldn't remember if the line had appeared before either, but I don't have the world's best memory for punchlines in long-running webcomics. I'm pretty sure I've used a bunch of Star Wars lines (other than 'I have a bad feeling about this') more than once in mine.

I know you used the committee line a few times

Ones that appear multiple times in the movies don't count. It's mostly C3PO's lines that get reused, I think.

I thought it was used once before, but there's no easy way to search that. Eh, benefit of the doubt I guess. :3

Hmm, no rose in first panel, but rose on the left side in panel 5 and on the right on panel 6. Oh, so like one of those "Dancing" weapons? Dancing Trick Rose sounds like it could be useful, considering the poison gas spray. Until you hit yourself... eh nevermind. XD

If the show itself doesn't make much of an effort to hide when they mirror things, I think I deserve extra credit for even doing it SOME of the time :P

Nah I'm just kidding with you. Not like I haven't done that with comics. :>

I will say a huge positive here--you really get the Rarity expressions down well.

Ironically, the expression in the second-to-last panel was actually taken from Pinkie Pie:

This may surprise you, but there actually is a search bar in the top right of the white part of the page. It's pretty basic, but it searches the comic transcripts and returns links to whichever pages have that complete phrase, punctuation and all (though not case-sensitive).

A weapon of returning that casts poison cloud on hit once per day. Totes legit, yo.

Hah! I called it!
Chronometry 12th Dec 2017, 9:18 AM edit delete reply
You did in fact use it back in the Gilda arc.

http://friendshipisdragons.thecomicseries.com/comics/813 to be exact.

Nice catch!

Drat. Well, it's used twice in the show, so I'll take it, despite my revealed hubris...

Wait, it was also used in one of Winged Cat's guest comics, too. Nevermind.
ChrisTheS 12th Dec 2017, 9:58 AM edit delete reply
That makes it officially a catchphrase :)

This reminds me of a time when I created a legendary weapon using components from near extinct sources (rolling well enough to know my meddling wouldn't cause said things to die off). Said 50+ session campaign of searching and harvesting came down to the last boss sundering my weapon, completely destroying it in one go.

DM found out why some players will crutch themselves with bad classes, bad rolls, and meaningless side-quests that don't benefit them too well.

I am now curious as to the circumstances, build, and result of this campaign finale.

NOT THE DRESS!

That is up there with "stealing from the PCs" as a major faux pas.
Hariman 13th Dec 2017, 6:07 PM edit delete reply
You can steal from the PCs ONCE, and only if you make the necessary rolls to actually have the Thieves' succeed.
